Use a Tree Saver Strap when attaching the winch rope to an anchor point. Do not attach the hook back on to the rope; doing so can cause the rope to break.

This 1" wide x 8' long "Flat Eye" recovery strap can be used on vehicles with weight up to 1,615-pounds. Ultimate strength is 8,000-pounds. Our tree saver strap assembly consists of a one ply flat eye & eye (Type III) at each end with 1 inch loop eye width.

Take your time when rigging and include a reasonable factor for safety. Improper rigging can result in damage to vehicle and equipment. It can also cause injury. Never handle the rope or rigging while anyone else is at the control switch.
